I'm going on vacation. I'll be in a tent for a week. We're going camping at Hershey Park. It's fun because you have the camping part and the amusement park part. There are showers and toilets, but we are sleeping in tents all week.
Then next sunday Me and the wife and another couple are going to NYC for an overnight trip where our goal is to spend $2,100 in 24 hours without buying jewelery or expensive stuff like that. We can only pay to do stuff, and buy food and drinks.
We've been saving money each week at bowling for the past two years, and now it's time to spend.
Yes, I bowl. I'm in a Sunday night league with my wife and this other couple. We do it as a guaranteed night out . We drink a lot and usually go out to eat afterwards. We do this thing where each person has to pay fifty cents for each frame where they don't get a strike or spare. So each couple ends up putting about $15 a week into the kitty and now the kitty is at $2,100.
So I'll be out of the loop for a week.
Have fun, stay safe! See you on the 27th!

Bombing in London, Breath holding in NYC
Was it just me, or was everyone holding their breath this morning form 8:30-9:00 Eastern waiting for something to happen in NYC after the London bombings?
I think I'm still pretty freaked out from 9/11. I was supposed to be in Manhattan that morning for a meeting and stopped in my office to pick up some papers and ended up on the phone and was delayed about a half an hour, thank god.
Plus my brother and his wife were living in the West Village at the time, which is also downtown for those who don't know NYC. That was scary at the time, because there were worries abot gas leaks and the possibility of more of lower Manhattan blowing up.

The World Series of Poker
You've probably seen bits of it on ESPN in the past. What you probably didn't know is that when ESPN shows it it's actually months atfer it really happens. It's going on right now.
There are over 30 different tournaments that make up the World Series, and there are a lot of great stories this year. Johnny Chan and Doyle Brunson, living legends in poker, have each won their 10th WSOP Championship bracelets.
Also, Jennifer Tilly won a Ladies event and Mr. Kotter came in second in one event. Now if we could get Ben Affleck and Phil Helmuth heads up at a final table.
Here are some links if you're interested.

Why MTV Sucks balls
It's not just the lack of creativity and the most narrow playlist in history. It's the ability to completely fuck up the broadcast of a huge set of concerts.
Everytime there was someone I wanted to see perform on the Live 8 shows, they showed 30 seconds and cut away. If they didn't cut away the idiot VJ's were talking over the performance.
MTV's day was the mid 80's. You're so far behind the curve it's not even funny.
It's over Johnny. Fuse owns your ass.
