Ice can kill my head

Last night I was walking around my car and hit a ptch of ice. As my head smashed on the back of the car I was thinking, "Oh, no. I'm going out like Atkins." My head hurt and I was dizzy for a while last night, but I feel semi-ok today. I actually got up and went to the gym this AM.

Tequilla makes me forget and puke

Ok, so I got tickets to see Social Distortion at the Starland Ballroom her in Jersey. Small club, would have been great, but I forgot that I promised to DJ my friend's parents' 50th anniversary party. That sucks.

In other news, Tequilla makes me forget and puke.

On Saturday Angel and me took our sons to the Palisades Mall. It's one of these huge super malls with a ferris wheel inside. We went to Dave and Busters to eat. We figureded the kids (12 years old) could play in the arcade and the food's not horrible. So we had a few giant beers, ate and went in the arcade where the kids played, and we had some more beers.

Then we did the Nascar simulator. I'm not a Nascar fan, but it's fun to drive the cars.

Ok so we took the kids home then got a call from another friend of ours that he and his wife and another guy were at this local bar with a cover band, so we went there.

Well this other friend (Paul) starts handong me shots of tequilla. Not normal shots, but doubles in a whiskey glass. I asked Angel how many I had and he said probably three doubles and a single. Last thing I remember was dancing with Paul. The next thing I remember was puking in my bathroom.

Drinking Beer is bad

I spent way too much time drinking beer this weekend.

I bet if I didn't drink so much I would lose thse awkward pounds....

Back to the Gym

It feels good to work out. It's the dragging my ass out of bed at 6:30 part that's the problem.

The good thing is that when I do go I do push myself hard. I did upper body today. I do these sets where the reps decrease as the weight increases, like this:

Bench Press 12 reps with 2 - 30 lb dumbells
10 reps with 35lbs
8 reps with 40lbs
6 reps with 45lbs
12 reps with 40 lbs.

I also do arms at side and lift them straight up so I look like a "t".

The bad part is that I go to teh YMCA and they don't have shower stalls, it's prision showers. One room, 10 shower heads. Quite often I'm showering next to an old guy....not fun.

Christmas is coming

And I haven't even thought about shoppig! HA Ha!

My friend Angel and I are thinking about applying to be on The Amazing Race. We think people would love us, because we're a lot of fun, and modest too!

Video Games

I rented Metal Gear Solid 3 and Ace Combat 5 yesterday.

MGS was ok until these really long scenes in between the action. I skipped over them and the game part comes back and my guy is all shot up and I have to figure out how to treat his wounds. Check Please! that sucks. I just want to sneak around and shoot guys... boring.

Ace Combat was better, fun good controls, but didn't really hold my interest that well.

Oh well that's why you should rent these games before buying them.

Basketball Draft

Ok. Last night I went to the basketball draft. It was for my son's team, I'm the coach. Now these kids are 11 & 12, 5th and 6th grade. But the coaches were pretty cutthroat.

There was a lot of manuvering and mis-information going around the table.

Whatever. I got most of the kids I wanted. Kids who'll focus, play hard and ahve a good time. The games should be interesting.

The thing went on so long. It started at 7:30 and I didn't get home till 10:15.

In other news, my dog/puppy is crazy he things legs are chew toys, especially the kids'. Well tonight is puppy kindergarten. And lucky me, since Barb is in AC at the PTA convention, that means that I get to go, Woo Hoo .

Is it possible that it could be good? I doubt it. Haven't listened to it yet, soon. I'd rather have the Nirvana box set. Kurt was God.

Blog Blah Blah

Why am I doing this? I don't know. Do I really have anything to say? We'll see.

It's getting cold and I'm thinking about my future. Might be time to take a step up in pay. But that would mean commuting back into New York. Now I love the city, but it's a long commute.

Well who knows. Might be a case of the grass is always greener....
